Basic Treatment for All Types of Stings
- Check to see if the stinger is still in your skin. If so, remove quickly to avoid more venom being pumped into you. You have a couple options here. You can use tweezers to quickly remove it. There is a great possibility that the squeeze of the tweezers will squeeze more venom into you as you are pulling the stinger out. Another recommendation is to use a thick stable card (like a credit card) to pop the stinger out.
- Wash with soap and water.
- Apply chosen herbal remedy.
- Watch for any allergic reactions from the bee sting such as rash or redness not by where the bee sting occurred, nausea, hives, throat irritation, etc. Seek medical help immediately.

Herbal Remedy Bug Spray
To help protect my family from bug bites (mosquitoes, flies, and ticks), I created an organic bug spray made from organic essential oils. It’s important to have a safe and healthy way to help protect your family.
Just a little extra information about this bug spray…my daughters are in 4H. Last May, they had a competition in the wetlands of our state. We were outside for 4 hours, the girls walking through acres and acres to create their “plan,” and all I had for protection for us was this homemade bug spray. My kids ages ranged from 3-10.
So, I thought this bug spray was really going to be put to the test because it was mosquito-central there! My youngest daughter (3 years old) ended up getting 2 bug bits on her legs, but that was it!!!!
I was SUPER impressed that the other kids walking through the wooded acreage didn’t get any ticks or mosquito bites on them!
I was honestly amazed that it really worked. So I have this spray that is also available to you here if you are interested. I love being able to prove that something like this truly works!
Conclusion
In conclusion, there are so many different ways we can help ourselves or family when we get stung. Throw out the chemical stuff and use the herbal remedies that bring health to our bodies rather than just cover up symptoms. And don’t let the fear of stings keep you indoors! Enjoy the beautiful nature!
